14) Scan Functions: About Scan Results

After performing a scan, the results are displayed in a new window called "Scan Result". At the top of this window, notice it gives the date which the scan was based upon and the number of results. The scan database searches based on daily information only and is updated at approximately 8:30 - 9:30 PM ET after each market close.

The first 100 results are displayed ranked by market capitalization. Scroll through the results by clicking "Next". Printing the results will only print the 100 results shown. Scan results can be ordered by a number of different criteria, including price, volume, relative strength ranking and alphabetically. To change how they are ordered, select your choice from the drop-down menu and click "Search".

Scan results are easily saved as portfolio folders or favorites folders. To do so, click on the appropriate button at the bottom of the window. You will be prompted to create a folder name. After clicking "OK", the folder is saved. NOTE: Only the first 25 results of a scan are saved to a folder.
